I'm beginning to think that the price discussion (especially in hobbies) is redundant. You buy these statues because you want to own them, you don't have to buy them to survive. If GG charged $3000 for each statue, I'd still feel that the discussion on price has no merit, as each collector can judge for themselves if they value ownership enough to pay the price.

LOL of course it's redundant:-) what else can we talk about with these, there are no updated production pics, no ES anouncement. outside of saying how fabulous something looks, what else can be discussed about a collectible?

Your point defiantly has merit given XM Magneto is selling for over $3000 now... crazy times..

That said I do have limits on what I'm willing to spend, with some companies I would never spend over $400 due to their inconsistent paint applications. Where as other companies I'm willing to spend double that since they have proven their quality is worth the price.

I think my spending limit is right around the $1000 mark, I have a really hard time spending anymore then that even on a perfect statue.

One thing I'm beginning to discover is, unless you have a very large home to display these 1:4 scale statues, 1:6 scale seems to be the sweet spot for people with average display space. I'm not sure how many more 1:4 scale I can collect before their just sitting in a box in the garage from lack of display space.

I agree, the SP girls were cheap. Well the first four were. They hiked up Blondie's price. There is no way you would see them go for $250 - $300 now.

I am still interested to see how Derby comes out. But honestly, even if she came out spectacular...I would probably still pass. Maybe. lol.

Yep the sp has just the same details. Sweet pea is the best most detail out of all of them.

Gentle Giant discounted all the Honey Trap girls by 10%. I guess it's for SDCC.
