Striping Duplicolor Primer
What's the best way to strip Duplicolor primer off of SuperSculpy?
I went a bit too heavy, and noticed I was loosing detail, then tried to wipe some off while it was wet and that just made it worse. I want to strip it off and respray it, but I don't want whatever strips the paint to mess with the sculpey. What should I use?

You can try sanding the spots where you oversprayed. You can also use some acetone which should wipe it right off as well. If you go with the acetone use it sparingly and rinse it off with clean water when you are done. Good luck.....

If someone wanted to repaint the whole piece, you would have to strip the original paint right?

Nope you dont need too. You can put the piece under running water and get one of those foam sang papers at home depot. They are pink color and great for wet sanding. Then let the piece dry and then prime it up.
Its sorta like scoring the piece a bit so prime or paint will stick since more are clear coated.
Just remember more paint/primer on a piece the more detail of the piece you will lose. Which is why i always strip pre painted statues then prime and paint.
