Thanks! Cap is moving right along. Roughed in the red stripes on the shirt today. I'll come back & hit the edges with a brush...the edges are too wavy for tape & too narrow for silly putty. Time for the 5x magnifying glasses.

Silly putty is commonly used in the hobby as a masking agent. Its' gentle adhesive nature and pliability works well on statues.
When I need a good clean line I'll use hobby masking tape.

Thank you
Will look for both on the internet. Surely that's also available on Amazon.
I covered the face from Sideshow Alice with a "normal" tape. When peeling it off, the eyebrow stuck to the tape

I get both silly putty and Tamiya hobby masking tape from Amazon regularly.
With tape, I always protect the surface I'm putting tape on with a spray matte finish first. Never use blue tape, it's too tacky for delicate surfaces. When using hobby tape I always stick it to my skin a few times to soften up the adhesive.

Red and white stripes done and sealed. Test arm fit...check. Shot the eyes with some white for the eyeballs.
Time to move to blue.

Finished up the blue work on the chest piece. I'll seal it up and do the touch ups on the scallops. Once that's done I'll attach the arms and start the head sculpts. I threw some primer on both stars and popped them in just to see how they look. So far so good.
