I have buy a few AP statues from this seller. They are top ,but I'am not paying more for them as for a regular! I'am not collecting statues about the numbers they have!I don't understand people how get a orgasm when they get a statue with a low number. For me it is important that the statue has a verry good paintjob!

This seller tells me he has almost every Bowen bust made, which is quite a feat. Obviously the more busts you buy and the deeper into collecting bust you get, the more opportunities you have to aquire AP busts from your supplier. He keeps one for his collection and sells the extras on eBay, which is a neat way to keep growing your collection and financing your hobby at the same time.

I've been thinking a lot about all of the APs showing up on ebay recently as well, mostly because I've bought 3 APs from different sellers and they all shipped from the same location in Florida.

I got a little worried at first (counterfeiting), so I asked Rocky about it, but never heard back from her other than "I'll check into it".

So then I contacted this 'Fulfillment Center' and what seems to have happened is, he has bought out all of these extras direct from BD, a lot of unnumbered pieces (APs). Apparently he must have contacted all these Sellers/LCS/Retailers and made them aware he had all of this stock, because there has been an explosion of available 'AP' pieces on the bay, all from different sellers, all shipping from the same 'Fulfillment Center'.

AP's are BOTH the first few and the leftovers. When the do a production run they always make a certain number at the beginning to ensure that it meets the artist/companies expectations.
They also make extras in the run so they have replacement pieces should something happen to a numbered piece in transit.

Now I know FOR A FACT that last year Bowen Designs sold A LOT of AP's to some retailers. Now I don't know if this seller is one of them or not. But companies do eventually sell them when they believe they no longer need to keep them.
Those are Master Proofs... and usually the company has to send them back for production... all APs are ONLY extra pieces to replaces buted ones in the run... even RB has said this
