Because
1. The upper costume is closer to X-Force Wolverine (even though the bottom isn?t)
2. It?s the least well received 1/4 Wolverine statue here so it makes perfect sense to be the variant of the costume everybody wants lol

Best bet for sideshow is to do an original X-Force Wolverine that isn?t a variant.

You forgot #3 (although I guess it is a by product of your #2) = they have a warehouse of unsold statues and need to do something with them so they might as well paint them differently and see if that does the trick

Thanks all! I'm happy with how it turned out, I think the X-Force paint scheme works really well on this suit. the blue metallic on the sentinel hand reapply pops in person too. When I've got time I'll try to post a pic of him next to X-Force Deadpool.

When I originally got this piece I was expecting SS to do an X-Force variant. It just seemed to be the prefect opportunity for them to make incremental revenue on an excellent sculpt.

I hope so, the X Force lineup needs a wolverine! But I think for SS to do this they?d need to see this thread blow up to 10+ pages to gauge appropriate level of interest LOL!
