RRR (Rise Roar Revolt) (2022 movie)

A fictitious story about two legendary revolutionaries and their journey away from home before they started fighting for their country in the 1920s.

I watched this film thinking it was another Bollywood musical that stumbled into its best original song Oscar nomination this year, but it's so much more than that. This period epic about a pair of Indian supermen is HIGHLY recommended for anyone interested in watching a bonkers, over-the-top superhero movie, the likes of which I promise you've never seen before. I'd give it a perfect rating except for the fact that Netflix only offers dubbed audio options and not the original Telugu language track that screened in theaters last year. If it ever gets rereleased onto the big screen, I'll definitely see it again then to view it properly.

I watched RRR a few months back after the Drinker recommended it. I had never seen an Indian film before, and didn't realize it was common for the actors to randomly break out into a song and dance during serious moments. The action and ridiculous physics were a lot of fun.

Just finished it a little bit ago. The acting, music, choreography, action were all terrific! Just a tad over 3 hours long and it went by faster than expected. This will be added to my movies to re-watch list.

I wish it would get an HD or UHD physical release one day. It's my favorite of all the Oscar-nominated movies I've seen this year.

I would be in to buy a higher definition version for sure!

There will be cinema screenings in New York again starting this weekend. I'll make sure to attend one of them so I can view the movie properly finally.

I attended a screening with the original Telugu language track over the weekend. The movie has by now become a fan-favorite here with a lot of cheering and loud applause throughout. It was like a big party. This is my favorite movie of 2022. Loved it.

And of course congratulations to RRR for "Naatu Naatu" winning the award for best original song at the Oscars last night.
