I had this about 5 years ago and it definitely did not look like a toy....hands down the best version out there.

The deag did look pretty plasticy, you know the guy you're replying to is talking about that and not the MR right? Deag has been out for less then 5 I think :S

I've seen a few deags that were left unpainted, they look good but overall toyish. The details are still there in the molds but the flat all around color is bothersome.

To say that the MR is hands down the best version isn't correct as I have seen some deags so well done they make the MR look bad. Not all the paint jobs on the MR are the same, some are almost cartoonish.

I am completely happy with what I did with my Deag, just really wish I had that damn stand. Lol

In terms of straight from retail the MR is the best. No one will compare custom paints, there are far better custom paints (included retouched MRs) then what's available out of the box.
