Just noticed that it's not even a true X, the middle doesn't intersect... It's also black with a silver outline, the confederate flag is blue with a white outline and white stars on it... The ONLY thing it has in common is the red background.. Anyways it's not worth spending anymore time arguing with people who see what they want to see... btw did you guys check out the Stromtrooper that helmet looks like a KKK hood...

XM is known to do some personal touches on their statue. I don't see why the X on cyclops belt is an issue, Regardless this statue is amazing.

While I can understand both sides of the argument, I find it ironic we are debating a symbol linked to a country this statue is not even legally to be purchased in/shipped to.

Potato I see what you are talking about, especially in this image.

The lighting makes the border around the X look almost white, like the border around the X in the Confederate flag.

Combine that with the red color, the rectangular shape and removing the black border from the classic design makes it look like a tiny version of the confederate flag.

Ok I take back some o f my troll comments, at a fast glance in that one picture it does remind you a little bit of the flag even though the colors are wrong and there are no stars on the X....

If I had the room for an 1:4 X-Men collection I would still buy this statue, it's pretty awesome looking IMO, the whole buckle is a trivial matter IMO...

It reminds me of a targeting symbol from a FPS.

My issue is that it is overly large, slightly distracting, AND doesn't match the other "X" on his chest strap. Make the Xs the same.

Yup it is the one thing I would like changed. It seems if it was changed it would probably please alot of people for different reasons. My reasons align with the ones you listed.

I feel the same way. I see how some people see a flag and others dont. My biggest issue with it is that it isn't a "X". How do you mess up the X buckle? The chest one looks perfect. I dont care if the buckle doesnt match the chest, just make it an X.

Oh and thanks Demona... now I cant stop seeing it as a "targeting symbol"

Belt change or not, he will still be front and center in my display cabinet, no one will even notice the belt because he looks so badass.
