I like the direction the film is going. I don't have an issue with her suit. Now, for those interested in boobies; here you go. You can thank me later.

Second trailer looks more promising!
Heh, girls in skintight body suits can rant all they want.

Elmo seems to be enjoying himself.

Tested.com behind the scenes at Weta Workshop discussing the geisha design. No spoilers beyond what has already been shown in the trailer.

Overall, I liked the movie. My biggest issue was with pacing and story structure. But that was also a big problem with the original anime too. They did deviate from the animated story, but there were a lot of shots and sequences straight from the anime. I hope this does well enough overall for a sequel. I would like to see Section 9 and the Major delve deeper into cyberization.

I don't think this will do to well in the US. I saw a 11:15am showing on Saturday and there were maybe a dozen people in the theater. There also wasn't a lot of show time options for either of the two location AMC theaters as the Dolby and IMAX theater showtimes were split between GITS, Boss Baby (only for the IMAX) and Beauty and the Beast. Looks like the theaters were hedging their bets that Beauty would take #1 third week in the row by offer still a lot of showtimes in the premium screens.

It's a good film. Slightly different from the anime but good enough I hope to spawn a series of movies. I have no contention and issue about SJ playing the role as she gave justice to it...I really don't get the big issue surrounding it though...it's a film adaptation and I think the movie answered as to why it became so... Will no longer explain as not to spoil the movie however I wish people get at least curious enough to see it.

Yeah; it looks like this one is an out and out bomb. It only did 19 million domestically and 40 international. Only Japan and China can save it now.
