How We Used to Live (2013) - A cinematic ode to post-war London by acclaimed director Paul Kelly, created using rare footage drawn from the British Film Institute's National Archive and original music by Saint Etienne with a narration by Ian McShane.

I didn't think I'd like a documentary comprised entirely of archival footage of 1950s-1980s London this much. The scene of the skateborder set to Sarah Cracknell's "Ready or Not" is a thing of beauty. 8/10

Logan (2017)

The best of the three Wolverine movies, but that isn't saying much. 6/10

Kong: Skull Island 7/10

I like all of the Kong movies that have been done. I like this one about the same as the 1976 version

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Given I think the entire Harry Potter series is average at best, this movie is very good. Hard to imagine it's by the same writer and director. Take away the constraints of continuation and it allows creativity and talent to shine. It kind of reminded me of my favourite anime, Mushishi, only with a very different context.
8/10

ALIENATOR - 1/10

One point for Teagan Clive. Who knew I would have a more fond and deep appreciation of the muscular female form. Think Terminator with boobs and a cool laser gun.

The Sense of an Ending (2017) - A man becomes haunted by his past and is presented with a mysterious legacy that causes him to re-think his current situation in life.

Even though reviews have been so-so, with a cast this good, the acting will be top-notch at the very least. 8/10

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
