You're not wrong. When I first got the piece, I was pretty disappointed and almost returned it, but ultimately I feel like the sculpt was worth the money and worth shelling out for a repaint at some point. It's not ideal, but my gut said keep the piece, so I did.

I thought the paint on mine was more than fine, it did differ a lot though, some people had really dark faces.
Also really depended on how and where she was lit from. Still think it was a fantastic PF, excellent EX too.
I've seen the reg go for really really low prices, at this point i'd say wait until the reveal of the new one. Unless you want both

I just checked Ebay and a reg went for around $280 shipped. At that price point it's pretty tempting lol.

Nice pic. Lighting definitely makes a difference.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I see no point in settling with it if you don't like one of the major aspects of the statue, and imho here the Ex is a must have. Probably one of the last true "Ex or fail" by Sideshow.

Here's where I disagree.
I actually like the axe hand. I'm not saying I dislike the head, but I like the axe a little more and I also used the extra money saved going for the regular to pay for a repaint.
I think the piece has a good enough paint job, but one artist completely blew me away with his repaint and I knew I had to get one done by him. Only statue I've ever done this for.

Looks like the fangs of a giant snake turned on it's side?
