I've been avoiding learning details about this, but is Noomi even in this one? I was under the impression that this would pick up her character's story after the events of Prometheus, she wanted to go visit the homeworld of the engineers. Seemed like a majorly difficult story to tell, but I was on board. I saw a trailer recently and didn't see any sign of her or engineers. And from what they showed, the trailer makes this look like a total do-over of Alien. Michael Fassbender is in it, but he can't be playing the same android as Prometheus (David), he looked brand new. Now I'm just worried that this is AVP requiem all over again.

Without giving too much away.... this is a direct continuation of Prometheus. It will, at least in part, take place on the ALIEN homeworld. Rapace will be reprising her role as will Fassbender. In regards to David, keep in mind his head could be reattached to another synthetic body and/or we could be seeing another model similar to what we saw with Bishop.
Given Ridley Scott is at the helm I wouldn't worry too much about this crossing into AvP territory. While this does seem to have a more pure horror feel to it I'd still expect it to be a solid Sci-Fi film that expands on the ideas and questions presented in Prometheus.

I think that sentiment is shared universally. That bar was set incredibly high, but I like Ridley revisiting ALIEN and attempting to expand on what he started, so that is promising and has me curious to see what he has up his sleeve.

I love Prometheus! lost track of how many times I've seen it. It was the perfect blend of Sci-fi and horror. So I'm very hopeful that we can see the next chapter in Dr Shaw's adventure, but does she even survive in this film? I guess it is highly likely that the alien ship piloted by David (his head anyway) will wind up back on earth, then he can undergo a complete overhaul and fix everything wrong and still contain all of his past memories, and hop on board the Covenant.

Hmm, Walter? Another android? A human? Possibly with last name of Weyland?

I've tried to not read a lot about it, but I believe Walter is another android. Perhaps an advanced model.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
