I've used eBay to buy and sell loads of times. Usually goes ok.

ScubaSteve did screw me like the OP described on an Ash PF, won too cheap, claimed he broke it. Haven't seen that dude around in a couple years.

Also, I recommend getting a UPS box and having your pieces sent there.
