It could be they're confident the line will gain momentum and that 1500 / 2500 keeps the doors open for future production runs. They own the license so can go at their own pace with sales.

EnShinNoi, that's a good point, and I'm interested to see if they have other ideas for this line, hope they dont take a year between reveals the way they have with the COTD, which I think has unfortunately ruined that line

Really surprised at that ES as well for what seems like an overpriced 1/5 new IP. But if the line does take off a lot of people are going to be happy they can go back and grab this.

Well if like someone commented in another thread that sometimes SS will produce a large ES on purpose to keep the item in stock for people getting into the line late, then this is I guess the perfect piece for that.

Usually a company's amount of per-orders determines the Edison size, as you don't want to over produce something that won't sell.

This piece reminds me very strongly of Damtoys' Honor of Kings Hua Mulan 1/8 scale figure... I picked this up for $200 at BBTS (it's also waitlisted at SS) - it's beautifully done, and I think a nice (and less expensive) alternative to the SS piece if you don't mind the smaller scale (and can actually find one)... Inexplicably, the 'regular' version of her (without the dragon) is available at BBTS, but for $150 more - ugh...

This isn’t a made to order piece. Sideshow always produces more than they have orders for.

What is this?! Totally missed the radar, that looks great. Why does Damtoys not have their own channel on this forum? They make some cool stuff.
Nice
