These are the IDW and Graphitti books that I have (I figured it was easier to take pictures than list them)

I have them displayed in a cabinet my friend made me, He is a woodworker (and my chiropractor) and has made me various pieces of furniture. This cabinet was originally a media cabinet with doors. I took the doors off and decided to use it for books. Unfortunately, when he was making it I never thought to have him make it with adjustable shelves or else these would be upright.

I do agree that these are somewhat difficult to display but I do love them. I plan on getting the Neal Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow one. I would love to see to see the following artists given this treatment:

George Perez (two separate volumes-one with his Marvel art and one with his DC art)
Alan Davis
Marshall Rogers
Phil Jimenez
Darwin Cooke

Artists I would love to see get the IDW treatment:

Darwyn Cooke
Tony Harris
Arthur Adams (how this one has yet to happen is beyond me...)
Todd McFarlane Hulk
Jim Aparo - anything he did in the 70s
Jimmy Cheung
Steve Rude
Ditko Spiderman
Alex Ross Marvels or Kingdon Come

There are plenty other possibilities. I'm sure I missed quite a few!

I can definitely agree with you on some if not all of those choices.

I do wonder how they decide who gets that treatment. I wonder if it depends how much of the original art is left by an artist or their heirs.

The signed/numbered/slipcase edition of the Mazzuchelli Batman:Year One Artist Edition, limited to 250 print size, just went up for purchase.

Pricey at $300 but worth it for me! I snatched it up right away.

I was seriously thinking about that but decided against it.

Your call, brother. I couldn?t wait to pull the trigger on it and, with only 250 copies, it?ll be gone in days.

Have there been any announcements about future books like this?

The next one I?m aware of from IDW is a Neal Adams DC book that?s coming out in January under two different covers. Not signed, of course, since Mr. Adams has passed away:

There is also another another series of Artist Editions coming out from Act 4, a new publishing entity from the guy who created and led the Artist Edition effort with IDW:

So bummed that I missed this...
I would have snatched it up. I didn't get any alert email from IDW regarding this drop.
