I didn't see a thread on this, so I wanted to post this. This is the third film in Ti West's X trilogy, the others being X (2022) and Pearl (2022). Very highly recommended.

What did you think of the film? I thought it looked great and had a great soundtrack. Really captured that time period. But the story was meh and the villain was kind of silly. And then it just ended, and I'm like "Ok, is that it?" Kind of a letdown after the first two films.

Yeah, I agree with pretty much everything you said. It wasn't the finale I was expecting or hoping for, but it also wasn't necessarily a bad movie. It just didn't live up to Pearl, or especially, X.

They're extremely good movies, though Maxxxine didn't quite live up to the other two.

X is my favorite, by far.

Chronologically, they go Pearl, then X and finally Maxxxine.

Release date order, they go X, then Pearl, and then Maxxxine. You could watch them in either order and be satisfied.

Each one really excels in showcasing the decade in which they were set in, from the 1910's (Pearl) to the 1970's (X) and finally the 1980's (Maxxxine).
