slimey/goo technique?
Hello was wondering if anyone can help me out with a slime technique if there is one.. I was needing to make some goblin hands look gooey or slimey, wet. I had someone ask me to try epoxy w a transparent paint over it, but before i try (im afraid ill ruin it) i wanted to ask.
wont the epoxy ruin the detail of the hand? i was thinking that would be used more for like goo dripping from something, no? help!! thanks guys

Hey Jenn,
PM Ickwinz or Twinzs!
They did a Spiderman in the rain piece and the water dripping off of him looked great. Could work for you too!
Good luck!

1. closely observe the area that needs to be modified.
2. mask/cover the painted areas
3. prime the area and lay a green base coat
4. most important step- carefully aim & blow your nose on it jen.

Just stir some green with clear acrylic paint and build up the texture layer by layer...I guess...

To use the epoxy glue, first you need to know its properties. On initial mix, the epoxy glue has the texture of water, but the glue will gradually loose it fluidity. You need to experiment and see exactly how long it takes for the type of epoxy glue you are using to have the goo like texture and you start applying the glue to the surfaces with a tooth pick at this time. You need to work on a small area at a time and build the goo up in layers. On the final layer of epoxy glue, you need to start applying it to the surfaces as soon as you mix it to get that smooth, round edge on the surface. I would practice this on a chicken leg bone to nail down the technique before you do this on the Goblin Queen bust. I guess you are having fried chicken for dinner tonight. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions. Good luck.
