customs question
i have never brought anything into america. so what is the deal. is customs just to inspect whats coming in or do i have to pay a tax on what i bring in

Customs may or may not inspect your package. If it's coming via FedEx, UPS or any similair shipping company, you will be charged Duty as well as a brokerage fee-which are ridiculously high. How is it being shipped?

No worries then. You declare the value of stuff brought back, under a certain dollar value is duty free, then just duty on what dollar value you are over. I have never been asked to produce receipts.
