Prints - with or without mat?

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of selling my artwork as limited edition prints on fine-art paper on my website but my question to you is; do you like prints/posters with or without a mat?

P.S. What do you think would be a good edition size? I'm thinking 25, all hand signed. Below is just a sample of my work.

With (printed) mat:

I'm a mat girl. You can change the color of the mat and it looks like a whole new print.

Yeah but the thing is, I will not be supplying a 'physical' mat but the image is rescaled so that the print has the effect of a mat.

I would sell it without a mat effect then. That gives folks the option on frame size, which can be pricey. Or, dry-mounting.

I would say no matte. That way your customers get a larger print and they can choose their own matte color when getting it framed.

That's a cool looking print, by the way.
