i think i'm working on "the one that got away" right now actually, the dealer is being really slow to respond so i'm not sure if he still has the page in question, absoloute grail page for me too, so really wish he'd get back to me...anyway if he does i'll possibly have an update of sadness for this thread

I looked at an original Invaders page on fanfare for MONTHS that was selling for $90 and never bought it as I never made it a priority. When I finally decided to get off my ass and buy it, it was gone. I saw it last year or so on some site for $350.

Most of the stuff I missed out on was because I found out about the art too late. I still remember missing out on the cover to Silver Surfer #63 that Mitch from Graphic Collectibles listed. I didn't check the site in time and it was already gone.

What's even worse, is I had already paid for the DPS and he was still negotiating with JoeFixit2.

Another page I passed on was the splash page of Hulk and Caiera facing down the Spikes (after Caiera injured Hulk's foot, and she was wielding her "spear" that Hulk snapped in half).
Man, I wanted that page.. but I passed on that one, and bought three other PH pages instead (for less), two of which are matted/framed/beloved by me.
I got a commission of "that page" from Lopresti later, though.. so all's well. 
The third one has since been sold. |

Had a chance to pickup the page from Walking Dead #49 where Lori and the baby get killed and the page from Identity Crisis with Batman holding Robin after his father killed. Didn't grab them at the time but now wish I had them in my collection.

A page from Blackest Night that sat on ebay for about two months. I sat around thinking about it because the cost was pretty high, but when I finally decided to pull the trigger, it was gone and has never returned or shown up elsewhere (like in someone's CAF). Ah well, that's the way it goes.
