Been gone for a few days.

I see the price and I'm like "wow, that's reasonable". Came here expecting excitement over the reasonable price...then I realize it's vinyl.

thats the part I'm slightly worried by. It doesn't appear he was filled in to that detail as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the major problem people had with "plastic statues" in the past is that it wasn't disclosed.

At least we know it's vinyl upfront. There are plenty of other things to spend your money on.

oh I get it grab the check and peace out but if the final product is garbage I'm sure it ultimately does not sit well with him as an artist

The final product of his will most likely look as intended.
The final products material is garbage to the majority of us collectors.

I have to say that the company that's handling the vinyl production in Japan does exceptionally sharp work. The company is called Acro, and have made some fine products from work I've sculpted for them. To be honest, I was surprised that Sideshow had decided to take this direction, but when I was told it was Acro handling the production, I felt more at ease. I'm curious to see the results myself.

The important part of the quote for me is that Acro has produced his work before and he's been happy with the results.
