Support Needed
I know that we are not supposed to advertise our ebay auctions, but I hope I'll get a pass and y'all will click on my ebay thingy- and here's why...
Most of you who are reading this have not met my wife, Carolee. Carolee was born with hereditary polysensory neuropathy. Doctors told her family she would never walk and, at age 2, her hands where amputated. Already a fighter, Carolee quickly adapted to her new prosthetics and against all odds, learned how to walk. Life hasn’t been easy for her, but Carolee has never complained, never asked for helped, and never bemoaned her lot in life- after all, she always tells me, there are people a lot worse off. She handles herself with grace. Carolee doesn’t see herself as handicapped. She wouldn’t know what to do if she suddenly had hands and fingers. Carolee may not be able to make an obscene gesture when someone cuts her off in traffic, but she has no problem pulling a pan of pizza out of the oven without a pot holder.
The reason I am writing with this story is this: recently, Carolee and I learned of a new fight she faces: Multiplesclerosis . We are both sad and scared for what the future holds. We are also coming out swinging. The medication that Carolee is taking is $1500 a month- our copay is $450. Being a single income home, needless to say, my collection of statues and toys are going bye-bye. So please, if you are looking for pieces, consider my new ebay store. More items will be going up each weekend.
