My problem with it was that it looked more like an Asian dragon than the world serpent-
This stuff is more the kind of design aesthetics I associate with the region/era
Though now that I see the rest of the bas relief elements are based on scenarios/designs/characters specifically from the comic. In that case, I can't really criticize it.
I can certainly see and appreciate the appeal of doing it that way.
I don't know if they'll be going with switchouts with this one, but because of all the visual interest they put into the base, I don't think they really need any extra stuff either.
It works great as a really stoic museum piece. Throwing in something like a spinning hammer would probably look tacky to me.
