Walt Simonson Hulk and Thor SDCC 2017

IDW hosted a dinner with Walt Simonson at SDCC and part of the package was an original 11x17 character of your choice by Walt. Had a fantastic evening and got to walk away with 2 amazing pieces by Walt.

classic thor. Congrats! how was the dinner experience. was there much chance to interact with Walt? was the food good?

if walt, or another artist hosted something similar, with art as well, would you recommend it?

I heard Walt and Louise were amazing form multiple people. For the art alone, I would have done it. IF I had been thinking about it, I would have bought tickets and given the dinner to someone in the area and just been satisfied with the art.

The dinner was great. I've never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse. So much food!!!!

There were around 45-50 people at the dinner so there wasn't a lot of one on one time with Walt except for when I got my art and book. That being said it was a wonderful time, great food, great company and I would absolutely recommend it. The art alone was worth the price of admission. The books and dinner were a bonus.
