Someone on Instagram posted an in-hand pic of the Joker. Looks like a pass for me. I think those Icons statues in front of it are underrated though.

Looks good to me...for a background sort of blur-faced pic.

Wish DC would make some of these statues in 1/4.

Would that be feasible with cold-cast porcelain? I don't know that's it's inherently more fragile, but it does seem more brittle. I think H.M.O. wanted to make their Nariko statue's intricate hair cold-cast and it didn't survive breakage tests.

They should turn the Joelle Jones Cover Girls Batgirl sketch into a 1:1 statue.

That would almost definitely lean if that were any weightier from being upscaled. DCC can't even get the pegs on the feet of statues to sit flush at the moment. I need to trust the longevity of their standing poses before I extend that toward more ambitious pieces.

That said, BG is the one from that Jones line I'm most excited to see finalized.

Sorry dat a55 won't make up for the crusty heels and bunions from the strap over her instep. Nearmint once I see something it's hard for me to unsee.

XM frequently uses cold cast porcelain for 1:4 scale pieces.

For entire pieces or just parts (sorry, I don't mean to derail the thread. I'm genuinely curious)?

Also, XM packaging and QC is leagues ahead of DCC. They haven't earned the trust in my book to go quarter scale quite yet. Their Museum Quality line from the Direct days was an admirable effort and I'm even a fan of the oft-trashed 13" deluxe figures, but both were behind the curve even for the time. DCC have impressed me with the quality they've been able to offer for the price if one happens to get a good piece. But, of the approximately 7 or 8 DCC statues I've purchased in 2017, only half arrived without egregious issues. I know some give similar ratios for Sideshow while others have no issues with either, so YMMV.
