Batman looked exactly like a Bolland BAts. I really don't get what the issue was with the animation.

No, Bats does not kill the Joker, I never saw how that interpretation got started and I read the book when it first was printed a billion years ago now. LOL

I saw this on the first night that it played in theaters. What really shocked me was how indifferent Kevin Conroy sounded.

I really enjoyed the first half.

The second half was a bit bothersome because the audience kept giggling when the Joker was making puns while Barbara Gordon was writhing on the ground. I don't blame the movie, but I really have to wonder about the IQ of the audience. Just because someone is cracking jokes doesn't mean that you have to laugh.

well to each their own but a lot of people like it and it would make for a better animated film than a lot of their recent efforts

My 2 cents.... First half was fine for me. It built on Batgirl bit as a character instead of just making her a victim like in the book. The second half is just the Killing Joke. If you hated it then I'm not sure how you like The Killing Joke at all. Overall a good effort worth your time. If you have read the novel then I would wait to get this on a sale.

The graphic novel is by far the superior telling of this tale imo.
