Does anyone remember a film from the early 80's where in it a girl is performing on a guy and she bites "it" off and she's laughing while it's still in her mouth? I think it took place in a cabin.

Since everyone seems to be suggesting horror flicks from the modern era, I'm going to go against the grain and say White Zombie and/or The Black Cat. Good, old school black and white creepiness with Bela Lugosi. How can you go wrong?

It doesn't sound familiar. Did it have XXX in the title?

The film Ravenous absolutely blew my mind when I first saw it. Guy Pearce is as good as he was in L.A. Confidential and Robert Carlyle creates one of the sickest M.F. Killers to ever grace a movie. Canabilism
and turn of the century calvary in Sierra Nevada Mountains. Watch this one late at night, when your a bit punchy.

I've never seen it, it doesn't sound that great to me, and it led to a brew-ha-ha in another thread, but.......

William Paquett says that some movie called "Who can kill a child" is incredibly creepy and disturbing.

some of my favourite recent scares have been:

Tale of Two Sisters - a superb Korean movie. Very weird, very creepy.

From IMDB:

Two sisters who, after spending time in a mental institution, return to the home of their father and cruel stepmother. Once there, in addition to dealing with their stepmother's obsessive and unbalanced ways, an interfering ghost also affects their recovery

Shutter - Another oriental one (Thai)
from IMDB:
A young photographer Thun and his girlfriend Jane discover mysterious shadows in their photographs after fleeing the sceen of an accident. As they investigate the phenomenon, they find other photographs contain similar supernatural images, that Thun's best friends are being haunted as well, and Jane discovers that her boyfriend has not told her everything. It soon becomes clear that you can not escape your past.

I haven't seen it myself, but Phone, a Korean movie, has been highly recommended a few times.

The classics are the best Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolfman and of course The Creature From The Black Lagoon.

Don't get me wrong. I love the Universal Classics too. I just thought it'd be fun for us to hear about other horror movies. But if the classics are your bag, then, by all means recommend one and why. I just want us to be exposed to as many horror movies in this thread as we can.
I know nothing about Italian Zombie movies yet I've read about them on SF from time to time. If you know of any good ones, let us know.
Whatever scary movies you like, please share.
