What the heck is going on with this piece??

For their most ambitious and hyped project ever, there has
been basically crickets so far this year.

And not that I ever believed it, but wasn't it AND the Kong life-size bust both supposed to ship by the end of 2022?

Yes, it should have shipped by then. I canceled mine after I realized that there was no clear arrival date in sight. I was interested in the bust as well. There seems to be even less hype for that.

A lot of people overseas have their stand-alone Godzilla diorama piece. I got my request for final payment at the beginning of February, but it still hasn't shipped yet.

It's been my experience with Godzilla fans that they tend to really only focus on Godzilla himself and use dedicated private Facebook groups to get hyped about upcoming releases. This forum is so diverse in it's member's interest I doubt groups of hard-core Godzilla fans congregate here.

Meanwhile the Kong bust has a HUGE year long window to release according to the Prime 1 site. July 2022 - July 2023.

I have seen photos of the complete dio. Without the middle part tho.

It's probably way too late to ask, but I've had this on pre-order from Prime 1 direct since it went up (the full dio). I've been growing increasingly worried about shipping costs from Japan/China here to NYC...did I make a mistake pre-ordering directly from Prime 1? Should I have gone with a domestic (US) distributor/retailer?

This is only my 2nd premium statue purchase ever. I'm now going through that phase of second guessing my pre-order location (where I placed the pre-order...the pre-order itself I have no doubts about).

For those in the US that are getting the full dio, which route did you choose?
