No I am actually the type of person who doesn't like companies just taking a property and showing no respect for it and just using the name to sell something. Word of advice, don't go into any thread in the movie section for any comic book movie that isn't out yet, it will probably scare you.

Honestly, this is about bringing the modern generation into the fold, not about keeping the origial generation of watchers/readers happy. Fact of the matter is that kids today have different likes and dislikes in regards to animated characters/comic characters. They are simply trying to make the charcters more modern and cool looking. Obviously, big fans of the original series will most likely hate the changes, but again the changes are not being made with those people in mind. Again, this is about bringing in a whole new generation of fans. If original watchers/readers were the priority, no changes would have been made at all.
