I say bring it back. The classic look is perfect and has worked for decades up until Marvel Comics changed it to reflect the Marvel cinematic treatment following the Avengers vs. X-Men event just a few years ago.

Well, I doubt they'd kill Falcon off but I do assume they'll swap shields later on during whatever climactic battle occurs and just decide to keep that switch.

Cap's original Kirby outfit and Dirko's Spider-Man costumes may be the two most perfect costumes in Marvel's history. Close runner up is Wally Wood's DD suit.

Yeah, Dirko was the best. I hear Ditko lifted a lot of his ideas from Dirko. Some class act Ditko turned out to be.

You know that Cap is one of my favorites but the uniform in Comics always looked 'campy' to me; and wouldn't work these days for the movies.

That's fair, and I wholly agree; but it always looked great on the printed page which is where I would like to see it persist.
