It's just a storyline trying to breath some fresh air into the titles.

Why do you even care about Scooby titles anyway?

I grew up watching scooby doo every Saturday morning. Heck I will still watch the old ones on TV. That's not fresh air, that is totally screwing up.

And once again...for a book you don't read, why do you care? They're trying to bring in a new audience to the titles.

When I heard this story originally, this was simply a non-story for me as I have zero interest in the first place.

Good grief, those revamps are horrid. It's the same crap, different year: a company thinks that they need to update some iconic characters to appeal to younger generations. It generates a lot of initial attention but ultimately fails and reverts to the tried and true version. Did "Poochie" from The Simpsons teach us nothing?

My 7-year-old daughter collects Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, which is approaching its 70th issue, and I can vouch that it's very entertaining. I regularly read DC's Scooby-Doo Team-Up... an extremely witty and creative title written by Sholly Fisch - Mystery Inc. teams up not only with H-B characters, but with Bronze-Agey versions of DC heroes, and not just the more popular ones.

So in my opinion (and my daughter's), there's no need for DC to revamp these characters, as they are doing just fine with the classic versions.

But the best part of the article is this Darwyn Cooke promo image for Future Quest. This will be a must-read, and of course, it's the classic H-B heroes.

He just does. It's a property from his childhood that he loves and he's unhappy with this reimagining. Maybe he would read it if it were handled traditionally.

There are tons of books from DC and Marvel I don't read due to how they're now being handled. I'm upset about this even though I no longer read them.

That pic of Team Quest, The Space Ghost team & The Herculoids is pretty damn cool. It's got my blood up. I don't mind the Scooby updates, if true. Just a modern take. The net's full of pics like that now. I think we all just gotta start getting used to this new wave in comics & classic toons. If it blows, don't buy it. That's what I do.

Even that Flintstone's shot is kind of intriguing. Hot Betty?
