Hand sculpted faces can be every bit as good as digital, in the master sculpt anyway. That Electra just looks scary though.

Sure, but here're two examples of what I mean.

My first statues were from the Cover Girls line sculpted by Jack Mathews. I skipped over the Artgerm Supergirl because she has a trapezoidal face. I initially attributed that to the factory molds being warped, but then I found the master sculpt:

You can even see this in the Artgerm Wonder Woman that Mathews also sculpted.

Here's another example, Bombshells Power Girl's face:

Mathews hasn't run into this kind of symmetry issue ever since he switched to digital.

Tim Miller is the primary sculptor on the Bombshells line. I've always thought that the eyes he sculpted were too big for the faces. Sure enough, on his first digital Bombshells sculpt, Big Barda, the eyes look proportional to the rest of the head.

Here's a pic of comics Elektra from 2018 Toy Fair. The nose is crooked, and the face isn't symmetrical.

If you live in the Austin area, check out Austin Books and Comics. They have two of the Spider-Man: Homecoming homemade costume busts for $7 each. The boxes are kinda beat up, but the busts themselves are fine. (MSRP $60)

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Wow, Power Girls face. I do see a lot of sculptors moving to digital. I wouldn’t be surprised if Randy Bowen is honing his skills in ZBrush right now. Just glad we get a hand sculpted piece every now and then like the SS Hal Jordan.
