After that I think Pure Arts went ahead compiled all the feedback people left about the expressionless face and said they were going to show it to Capcom to hopefully persuade them into allowing them to make a more expressive portrait fitting to the scene. There hasn't been any news if they got approved or not.

How weird. Capcom wanted these statues to look like robots? I've never heard of anything like it.

I'd really love some RE statues as I dearly love the franchise. But between P1 and Darkside's prices and the quality they are pumping out there just isn't anything I want to buy.

Hey gang. Now that Showcase 2 has ended and the forum has died down, I wanted to share pictures of my RE2 Claire. I'm a tad biased because this is my girl like your WW, Power Girl & Catwoman will stay neutral explaining things. I got her a few days before Christmas through Spec Fiction after a long 6 month delay. Some US stores didn't get her till December even though she's been out in the wild since June. If you live in the US and are still waiting hit up your retailer ASAP.

She came in 1 box.

Let me get the elephant out of the way. If you did not like the prototype head sculpt, you're not going to like the production head. Every printed line & detail is there. I'll get into the paint later. I'm not here to sway you. Use your eyes, be your own judge. My opinion is everyone was up in arms over her face prior to the games release, yes, she had some derpy lip movement thanks to the RE7 engine in game, but I still think she looks cute. I've posted art from the game earlier in the thread where P1 got their ideas for this piece and I'm happy with it.

A lot of us, including myself always say pieces look better in hand, in natural light, etc. This piece absolutely needs natural light or a light source when displaying. Aside from a few pictures here a lot of the images and videos in the wild are horrendous and don't do her justice. I was worried all summer this wasn't going to live up to my expectations. A few things to note, the paint app is a hair darker than the proto, she's also much grungier than the proto. I pulled her body out and noticed a powder coat all over her body that doesn't come off with a makeup brush. After I assembled the piece, everything came together, and I understand either the proto was under a bright light or they went and dirtied her up during production, which I'm totally fine with. She looks like she just got chased in the station's dusty attic by Mr. X or slogged through the sewer avoiding G-babies. The paint app is very reminiscent of Arkham Origins Joker and Arkham City Two-Face which were both fantastic. There are so many details in this piece it's hard to explain them all but in one of my pictures there is a shell casing that's bounced down the stairs and left a scuff on the hardwood. Also, the zombie's backward impact looks great. I still think it's silly she's shooting him at point blank range and if I did that in game, I'd be dead. He's secured by a long peg and wedge I don't see leaning issues down the road.

Only nitpicks are the base could have been shortened by 2.5 inches (reminds me of the DK Rises bases with the extra stairs) but it might be like that, so the zombie doesn't topple the base over and that the paper P1 used for the instructions feels really cheap.

All in all, happy with what I got. Really looking forward to Leon now and planning on getting Jill and Nemesis.

Yeah, I have him on PO. It's a shame he didn't get released at the same time as Claire seeing as they offered the discount for both for a double PO. Leon should be out in the wild now for people who PO'ed directly from P1.
