With so many recent LOTR/Hobbit pre-orders available, and many more on the way I can easily see this bust falling through the cracks. I love the bust, but I'm holding out until next year's Black Friday sale to pick this one up.

This one might not sell out so quickly...but I think once in hand pics start showing...It might...If not IMHO they will sell out at next Black Friday ...this one is gonna be beautiful

I imagine it's possible for this bust to sell out during next years BF sale, but even then I'd say that's a stretch. It took 3 years for Smaug to sell out and even after last years BF reverse auction it was still available for another 6 months....and this for a bust priced at $300 less than the Fell Beast. And I don't think it helps that generally speaking, people prefer statues to busts. But I suppose time will tell.

If people make a tradition to wait till BF to decide to buy the statues or busts from Weta for a less price we see no more statues from them in the future,this would be sad,or not?

The Smaug bust never had an ES, you're referring to the statue which had an ES of 2000.

As for Weta no longer making statues, that's entirely up to them. Companies that provide quality products at a fair price will always be successful, those that don't will eventually fail. If Weta goes out of the statue-making business that'll be on them.....and the sun will still rise the next day.

No offense, but I don't buy that for a second...there will always be immediate buyers...some pieces sell out rapidly...some folks are smarter than others and wait patiently for those pieces they know will not sell out so quickly...like this newest Gollum....I will wait for sales on certain pieces, and other pieces I will pounce..
