it is an homage to the carmine cover - which was also made into a statue by william paquet

Nice review, Mike. The only thing I disagree on is a technicality at best. I don't think the DC statues, like the Jim Lee Batman from Hush, can be called FS. To me they're mid size, making the price point even more onorous. $195 is a bit steep for most FS statues even today, unless it's huge like Bowen's new Hulk. For a midsize statue it's absurd (yeah, though, I bought the Jim Lee Superman, Batman and Catwoman statues, though), showing DC's expectation you'll pay more just for their brand and characters.
