Congrats to Ja Bayona. The man has only 2 legit films under his belt and struck gold with this opportunity.
Granted anyone could helm a sequel and it will probably still earn $$$$ at the box office with Pratt and Howard.

I like Dinosaur movies, but I'm losing interest. Much like the recent SW FA comparisons, I found Jurassic world pretty much a duplicate of Jurassic park, and more of the same...island of dinosaurs somehow void of security forces and firepower to controlling such environment, and a small group of helpless people that somehow mange to repeatedly outrun creatures that are superior in size speed strength and agility...I'm hoping everyone gets eaten in the next one just for a change. I'd go see that. Haha

A lot of the stuff in Jurassic World was in the Jurassic Park book, they basically took what they didn't use from the book first time around and created Jurassic World movie...
I'm also a bit bored with the series... Jurassic Park was awesome for it's time, first time seeing dinosaurs and all... but every sequel IMO has been meh...

I don't think the movie was aiming for you as it's clearly meant for a younger, teen, adult crowd who never experienced the intensity of the first one in theaters.
That's probably where the long wait worked to the franchise's benefit.

JURASSIC WORLD 2?
By now, wouldn't you think the company that owns these island parks would be so in the red from having to pay out lawsuit after lawsuit, how many people were killed in the last one, like seriously? A thousand?
