Thank YOU warhead for this amazing thread. Of the repaints I cannot decide. Perhaps if I saw them all in a room together but I doubt it. Probably faint or something even more embarrassing. (like squeal? -- not what I was thinking.)

I bought one last summer (bikini) but it had no box or base so I feel may have gotten it for less. Not a repaint of course. The original paint does seem somewhat subdued. Maybe it was displayed in the sunlight or something. Still love it though.

GREAT idea of yours for a thread.

I would get a marble or fancy stone base cut for the Barbarian than go to a trophy shop and get a gold or brass nameplate [Frazetta's Barbarian sculpted by Clayburn Moore] it would add immensely to the overall look of your Barbarian on display.

Thank you warhead. I'm definitely going to have that done. I have some Koa wood I might cut for a base - put the cut marble slab on that for the statue.

Looking forward to doing that after the statue room is finished. -- (a very small room "but it will be mine!" said the greedy little clown ).

Various bronze Barbarian's, I think the third one is a bronze paintup by Paul Moore, not 100% sure but all look incredible.

You are correct. I pm'ed Clay a while ago and asked him and this is what he said

"Hi,
I haven't been on the forum for some time with all the shipping and sculpting there has been to do. To answer your question: there were 100 nude and 300 clothed AP's done.
There is a possiblity of a bust which will be done from the original Conan sculpture, but we'll announce when there's something more concrete to say.
Best,
Clay Moore"

Here is a bad picture of my nude version (factory paint job) #58. The reason these shipping boxes have X of 100 and X of 400 on the box is because there were 100 nude A/Ps and 300 clothed, but they were randomly numbered in the total of 400. That is what Clay told me when I asked him. Sorry guys I'm a horrible photographer

And here are a few pics of my PPS a/k/a "counter sample" (1 of only 5 in the world) that I had repainted by Alex Castro. I had him repaint this one instead of my nude version because at the time I sent it to him I thought it wouldn't be hard to convert it to a nude version, but it was more work than I anticipated, so I just had him paint it as it was

I remember reading that actual rubys were used on the artists proofs knife handle.

Anyone remember that too or know for sure?

That is true, the sword is actual silver in the A/P's too, whether clothed or nude
