I'm still not sure that the "sisters" are biological. They could all be orphans that were taught to view each other as "sisters" in the KGB Widow program.
Your post is pretty dismissive of a movie that from the trailers look 85% better than BoP. And I don't think it's catering to a female audience. It's catering to people who enjoyed the character of Black Widow who had an interesting history mentioned throughout 10 years of the MCU.
The timing of the release pushes people to think this is "girl power", but I don't see it as that. I see it as them extending the cash cow of the Avengers franchise with a very popular character. Hawkeye is getting a show instead of a movie because it will play better (Fiege stated this). I'm sure it was batted around to make BW a TV show and they felt it would play better as a movie. I trust the Mouse House with this. Even with their worst releases (hi Iron Man 3 and Thor 2) they aren't bottom of the barrel.
