Imagine that. A game that actually has a holder for the disc itself. What is the world coming to?
Thankfully, I am just not into the limited editions for 99% of the games I buy. The quality of the collectibles just isn't high enough to spark my interest and with most of them, you can wind up finding them 6 months later for 60-75%+ off. The only 2 I have purchased the last 4-5 years running have both been Borderlands games. I got the The Borderlands special edition that came with the small trunk/chest and the Claptrap edition of Borderlands The Handsome collection that came with the remote control Claptrap. And I do have the Fallout 4 SE on preorder, but thats about it for me.
I keep hoping that more developers will take the high quality collectible approach, but very few have ever taken that plunge. For example, I would love to see a Mass Effect: Andromeda special edition that came with a high end replica weapon from Triforce and was limited to a couple thousand copies. I would buy that in a heartbeat. Higher quality art books would be nice as well.
