i'm hoping they do a cool collectors edition. I usually don't buy them but for a series I love i'm up for going all out.

no, it's the same world but the stories aren't connected. you should however still play them

Yup. One of the few new games in picking up day 1. I'll get lost in this for months and don't need anything else to play

No I don't think so.
I started off on Fallout 3 and boy did that game get me hooked! I absolutely loved it! Took a little to get used to but once I did I couldn't stop playing.
I would suggest you pick up Fallout 3 because 1. It's an amazing game and 2. It will give you time to get used to the world of Fallout so once 4 comes out in November you'll be all set

Yeah I haven't been this excited for a video game release in a while! Day one order for sure.
