I was not planning on getting this but depending on the paint job I just might. I love the fact that this is just a nice classic museum pose.

If you're referring to the button snap on the torso of the costume, it translated better than just the initial red bodysuit

No Martian Manhunter in this mock up?

Edit: Just saw the other posts asking the same question. Didn't get quite answered, tho.

Well that, the sash, the off-kilter lightning bolt, and if he has gold boots/gauntlets (like Chad said). Seems like it's just their version of Alex Ross's Kingdom Come Shazam.

I think it looks pretty good so far. What were you hoping for? And incidentally while I own all the DC Alex Ross books I to be honest do not care for his take on my favorite heroes. For example no way will I buy an Alex Ross based Flash with gold instead of yellow or Aquaman without the black trunks. But so far I think I can accept gold on this guy. Here's what I found recently browsing the net. I'm pretty sure it's a custom no longer available and at a larger scale but it's still cool.

Well, I'll reserve final judgment until I've seen it painted, but this has been done...at least twice. A classic, Super Powers-era Shazam...not as much. So that's what I was hoping for.

I can't believe they made Shazam's bulge bigger than Batman's.

Wouldn't it be awesome to find out that DC Comics has to approve "bulge size?" Maybe they have a formal scale like: Superman has to be largest, then Batman, etc...
