I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Tour De France 06

Got two weeks off work to watch this now (as I have done every year since 1999!). Am gutted that several favourites were pulled out due to a drugs scandal though. This sport has major problems. Anyone else watch this? (I'd probably get more hits on a thread about kabbadi than I will on this!)

Doesn't it have a stage through England this year? How does that work?

I didn't know that starting from another country was a bit of a "custom", given that it is the Tour de France. I'd assumed that the route was the same each year.

You probably now have more hits on this thread than a kibaddi thread, though you should start one, just to be sure

The route is different each year. They start and finish in different towns, sometimes go clockwise or anti clockwise round France. I think they have been in 4 countries this year.

Well done to FLoyd Landis for winning the Tour. After blowing up spectacularly in the Alps one day, he recovered amazingly the next and made up his losses. Eighth year in a row the yellow jersey has gone to a Yank, you guys should be loving this event!
