Kings of Themes?

This thread is just for fun – please don’t take too seriously. There are no wrong answers. No competition, etc.

I love a well themed collection and there are a lot out there. Some have been doing it a long time, some are rather new. I started a theme a few years ago and it moves along somewhat at a glacier pace (I think I am around 15 in 7 years).

What is your favorite theme? Which one out there do you like the best according to your personal taste?
What themed collection do you think is the most well curated? This might not even be close to your favorite but appreciate how well it has been put together. (ie the most thought out? Greatest dedication to the concept? Etc.)

The only qualifier is that the theme is not too generic. Not looking for a Superman theme, a Hulk transformation theme, etc. Think more along the lines of a theme that is a little more specific.

Personally, I have to go with the OML by our very own Michael Finn as what I think of as the pinnacle of themed collecting.

You're taking your time cultivating that theme, Dave, but you're definitely hitting some great names!

I'm a big fan of Fred Chamberlain's "Ben Grimm's Poker Games" theme. A great interaction piece that allows for a wide assortment of characters to appear.

Not sure which one is my favorite but the immediate two that come to mind are Chris C's trophy wall and Michael Finn's OML.

Trophy Wall is a favorite of mine as well. Chris has slowed a bit on these - would love to see more versions but I am not sure there are many left on his want list.

Thanks! I recently separated my Throne gallery into several galleries grouped by year. It makes them easier to view, but harder to link to.
