Is this my first post? Not sure.... but anyway.
I am in the process of moving across the country... Florida to Texas.
I have about 15 statues boxed up in Florida, waiting to be moved with my furniture.
I have about 10 statues here in Texas that I bought a storage unit for. I've been here about 3 months and been buying pieces.
I'm moving from an old home with no garage or storage space to a home with a garage and storage area under the stairs. I plan to keep the boxes with the extra space I have to store.

Question about storing boxes...
Good day everyone!
I just started collecting, so I have about 6 boxes out in the garage since I do not have room in my house for them.
I live in Maine, so the temps can get extremely cold and it is cold out in my garage. In the summer, it can get a bit warm and humid sometimes.
Are they safe out there or are they going to get ruined over time. I have a feeling that they are.
I would hate to rent out a storage space just to keep the boxes in there...
Any thoughts or suggestions?

keep all my boxes, i actually just recently bit the bullet and rented storage space for my boxes, and other boxes we had around the house. I hate clutter, so i would gladly pay extra for my own sanity.

I have my boxes in the attic and it is freezing cold in the winter and a sauna in the summer and never seen any mold.
I put them all in plastic bags and tape them tight.

Is that your's?
Styrofoam would not grow mold in itself unless there was contamination in it.

Oh man! Guess I'll look into storage too. Didn't want to spend more money for that, but I really want to keep in good condtion. Right now the brown boxes are taped shut out in the garage and I put a blue tarp loosely around them, but still it's been very cold up here.

I am really tempted to look into and get a little shed to put in the backyard to just hold boxes. That or my attic. I planned to wrap them up out of fear.

I’ve got a few in the garage. They’ve been there for 10 years. No mold or mildew and it gets real humid here. Just keep them taped shut.
