I'll stop complaining... while I did pay tax, Spec Fiction had a crazy open box/like new sale... he came to $190 all in, so I'm thrilled to finally get this piece.

Well damn, this piece ended up being a total disappointment.

Broken horn on the helmet
Poor fitting parts
Slightly awkward more upright pose than the proto
Warning saying light sources and UV light will fade the purple paint.

Any one of these things may not have been a deal breaker for me (Spec would have totally replaced the head and maybe even been able to fix the fit issues). But all these issues combined, made this an immediate return

I hope you get a good replacement. Overall the statue looks really good.

I was so disenchanted with the whole thing that I just asked for a refund.

Wow...don't know if I've seen one of those before. I know UV rays will fade colors but "light sources"? Yeah, might be a good thing they abandoned the fine art scale stuff. If this is what a "reasonable" retail price will get you. That's a shame...at least you get a refund.

Purple pigments are highly subject to fading. Fluorescent lights are UV sources can be just as brutal as sunlight.

Koto is just giving a heads up most other companies are too scared to say.

Is it just a certain shade of purple? That Bowen action Magneto has been around FOREVER and I've never seen faded images of him.

Note the Koto warning was specific to metal parts only too. Interesting.

No it is just those kinds of pigments are very susceptible to fade like blues too. I'd imagine the metal parts required a special paint or the metal reacts more strongly.
