XM was responding to the feedback from potential buyers. That's much better than saying take it or leave it. So long as it is improved its a win for all of us.

IMO the more I look at this Thor the more I think it doesn't really live up to XM's quality, looks more like something sideshow would push out.

IMO, I'm glad Eric is going to redo/tweak it.

Don't be so dramatic... I'm pretty sure that this is common on the collectible world. I'd see it as a collaboration, sure they give the space on the final info sheet to Tony C.

If you see the products on the sideshow's site for example, they give credit to the sculptor and then they add "The Sideshow Collectibles Design and Development Team". This would be like that, after all, Sosa is the Art director of XM.

Yeah really. I'd say whomever the head of creative design for XM wasn't clear on what they wanted. I haven't seen anything that blows me away to spend this kind of $.

To be fair, I am sure XM wouldn't scrap the work if they think it's usable, no one like to throw money away. I think there are information that aren't share publicly out of respect for Tony. Notice none of the extra options get painted up or displayed. I am just observing.

yeah that would be pretty foolish for them to do that. not cool at all if they did

yeah, im pretty sure he would mind. because thats advertisement for his work if they keep it and produce it. a feather in his cap. another addition for his portfolio.
if they scrap it, then what does that say about his work? its not like it was a completely horrible sculpt.

it doent make sense for XM to just scrap the entire sculpt altogether. altering or fixing the head sculpts does.
and they should be having Tony C. do the work.
sorry to say but that would be ultimately foolish for XM to scrap the piece just because the portraits are off a little bit.

only things that needed to be done for the portraits was lower the helmet and make the heads a bit smaller. and as some said they would have liked to have seen the portraits/face alerted a bit to look more intimidating.
but i thought the faces were fine for the most part.

hopefully this whole changing things after the statues are made will come to an end for XM. for im sure this will and is becoming quite costly for them.

maybe Bryan can chime in and let us all know whats actually going on with this piece and if its being scrapped all together or that just the portraits are being altered/changed.

I like it as its, however I am 100% sure Tony C can do better specially with the fans feedback.
Let Tony revise it a bit and Erick sculpt an extra portrait
