Unfortunately this IS standard practice - which is why you always see "ES TBC" when a statue is first launched. That said, few companies cancel the statues they launch - especially after taking people's money.

This will undoubtedly harm P1 - as I imagine many people will now hold off preordering their vapourware, and will only pay up once the statue officially hits the stores.

Sideshow still offer's some Prime 1 pieces for sale. For reasons unknown, they don't offer all pieces?

Im definitely not going to preorder anymore. This will just hurt their own marketing and demand analysis in the long run as people shy away from preordering things that can suddenly evaporate.

Collectors are expected to shoulder all the risk, because the emotions of fandom, nostalgia and whatnot have driven preorders for several years - for all companies not singling out P1. I'm not contributing to that anymore, not that I was ever a big collector. I bet the trend will start to reverse now.

P1 won't hit the sales numbers they need if they continue working from outdated or made up data. Cancelling POs is proof of that. If they were more confident, they can put up POs for A-list characters while being already underway with production, cutting wait time < than a year.

No they don't offer all pieces. what they seem to be offering are pieces that they did in collaboration with other companies like the game of thrones pieces Or pieces that they are contractually obligated to offer.

Sideshow hasn't put up much of the new p1 for almost a year already.

They've been putting stuff up for a little while now actually. For example Aloy, some DC stuff, etc.
