I sure hope he comes back with BD, but that statement in Rock-Quarry's listings is pretty damning. Not to mention, the last interview with RB was fairly telling. It'll be good to see him back, but damn...so many characters I wanted to see made and in a way only BD can do it. Oh well, if it turns out BD is indeed done then that's just how it is. Hopefully he sculpts for a company I can afford.

So from that, I take, RB is going to be working for other companies sculpting Marvel characters, not his own company. Bowen Designs is a closed chapter. Wonder who this company or companies is/are? Sideshow? His buddy Mark Newman sculpts for them. XM Studios? Kucharek Bros. jumped on the bandwagon...maybe RB inquired? DC? Maybe he'll head up DC's 1:6 scale statues? It's all rumor though till it actually happens or the man states it himself...we'll see!

Just glad he's making moves to come back into the fold...the industry needs it's OG!
Randy + XM.

Everyone would lose their minds.

That would be an amazing match-up.

As if the Kucharek Bros weren't enough!

XM big bosses did just make a trip to Vegas, a known Randy hot spot...

I was going to make a new post but it's along the same lines as a few posts here... I was at a comic shop I had never been to before on the weekend and the guy working there started talking about Bowen confirmed he's back and making Marvel sculpts. I'm sorry if he reads this but I don't think he new what he was talking about because I'm all over this forum and... the "other" one. I'm like "what was this announced in the last week?" and he's like "No like a year ago"... so no such confirmation exists correct?

XM? Nah - Bowne's style is minimalist and true to the classic figure, while XM is all about the minute details and super high resolution. Not a match made in heaven.

I just want Bowen with his old style back.

Agreed. Comic faithful is my jam. It's why I love the Kotos and Bowens.

Doing a 1/6 scale "Bowen" brand line for DC Direct would be amazing.

If BD is gone, a Bowen line for another company would be the next best thing. DC would be cool...I wouldn't mind seeing the DC side of the comic universe in Bowen form, but there just aren't enough characters that I like to keep me consistently interested. Marvel is where it would be at for me. Preferably 1/6, but I wouldn't mind 1/5 or 1/4.

....That said, a 1/6 Bowen Batman line would be crazy.

bowen sculpts are to statues ..like Jack Kirby is to classic early sixty marvel books in terms of classics. I don't want some other company taking over. I want him back in the saddle so I can return to handing him over my paycheck.
