Jumanji : Welcome To The Jungle
I searched for a topic on this but found none.
This movie is a serious hoot! I haven't laughed like that during a movie in ages. It has great homeage to the original movie while being super fresh and fun. I highly recommend this to everyone

It's a pity many passed it off as a rehash when it simply paid tribute.
The writers did a really good job of keeping the ideas simple. Avatars, lives, strengths/weaknesses and levels. Things a general audience can understand. It really helped squeeze everything into a neat package.

Jack Black stole the show IMO... given they were all great in it but I think Black just stood out a bit more with his character...

I feel like he had the most to work with. Teenage girl in a overwheight man's body gives it's self to the best lines/gags. But I do agree, Black played it out perfectly!
Weaknesses:
Cake
Strength
Speed

I swear there was another thread. Agreed, huge thumbs up here. It was fun, great characters, and drama. In other words, it had everything Last Jedi lacked....
Loved it. The scene where Black was “excited” killed me. Lol
Can’t wait for the next one. Rock was awesome as usual.

Good enjoyable movie, but felt nothing like a Jumanji film. Just an Adventure/comedy film with the Jumanji name.
And I felt the reference to Robin Williams' character was extremely clunky and ill fitted.

I must have missed that. Where was the reference?
