At a heightened price point like this I believe everyone should be entitled to receive the best.

See now, I'd pay $1800 above retail for that. An extra portrait? No way.

At the end of the day I think it's all subjective.
$1200 for the reg I still think is "worth it" in the sense that I would pay that for this character specifically in this pose on this throne etc.
But I wouldn't pay the same for a 1/3 Batman or $1699 for Swamp Thing. Because at these price points only the die-hards are going to buy one. The EX is absolutely icing on the cake. I can see why those who aren't among the lucky 750 are ticked off however I'd argue that IF you were willing to drop 1200 on the EX, the 1200 for the Reg is still "worth it".
Edit - Mr.Nice Guy is your avatar based on the 3% of collectors we represent? If so - that is hilarious!

In all honesty I would like a Mistress Death companion piece. SSAlex said there were no plans of that in the questions thread.

The more people talk about switch-outs, light-ups and extra features, the more I realize that a lot of the people buying these things just want giant toys.
Nothing wrong with wanting giant toys for the record, but equating more with "better" is like what the Hot Toys guys do when they see a figure with 6000 accessories they'll never use and call that "value". Obsession over quantity.
I'd be happy to pay more for amazing sculpts with master paint apps, with high quality materials and build quality/engineering, not light-ups you'll never use that will eventually fail, and switch-out parts I'll never actually switch out.
